PKU Alumni Association Organizes California Poppy Trip

Dear PKU alumni,

PUAASC (Peking University Alumni Association of Southern California) is organizing a trip to the Antelope Valley California Poppy State Reserve this Sunday, April 3rd, together with USC CSSA hiking club. Any Chinese and their friend in Los Angeles area are welcome to join the trip.

The state reserve spans more than 1,700 acres, and is dedicated for the California's official flower - the Golden California Poppy. It is located near Lancaster/Palmdale, about 85 miles north of downtown Los Angeles. With the record high rainfall in the past months, the park is witnessing fantastic wildflower blooms, with expected peak bloom in late March to early April. For more information, you can visit http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=627Photos for the trip two years ago can be found in the hiking club web page at http://netweb.usc.edu/xinming/photos/antelope/index.html

The driving directions are:
