Event: hiking in Thousand Oaks and tour to Reagan Library

The hiking club is going to organize a hiking trip to the Wildwood
Regional Park in Thousand Oaks, and a tour to Reagan Presidential Library
this Saturday (July 31). Wildwood Regional Park is about 50 miles northwest
of USC. Hiking inside the park is relatively easy and fun, and you will see
a spectacular 70 foot waterfall plunging into a large pool. About 7 miles
away from the park is the Reagan Presidential Library, where the late
president is entombed.
Our initial plan is below: we will depart from 2671 Magnolia Ave by 9:30am,
and get to the Wildwood Regional Park by 10:30am. We will hike in the park
for about 2 hours, including the lunch time. Then we will go to the Reagan
Presidential Library at 12:30pm, and stay there for about 2-3 hours. Finally
we will go to the Zuma County Beach in Malibu to play volleyball and swim.
The returning time is around 5:30pm.
Driving direction from USC to Wildwood Regional Park is to go 110 North for
2.5 miles, then 101 North for about 43 miles, take the Lynn Road exit and go
north for 2.5 miles, turn left into W AVENIDA DE LOS ARBOLES for 1 mile and
you will see the park entrance (you may park either inside the park or
outside the park). We will meet in the parking lot by 10:30am.
Driving direction from Wildwood Regional Park to Reagan Presidential Library
is to go back along W AVENIDA DE LOS ARBOLES for 1 mile, turn left into
Lynn for 0.3 mile, continue on Olsen Road for 4.5 miles, continue on Madera
Road for 0.6 mile, and turn left on Presidential DR for 1 mile.
Driving direction from Reagan Library to Zuma County Beach is to go back
along Presidential DR for 1 mile, turn right into Madera Road for 0.6 mile,
continue on Olsen Road for 1.2 miles, take CA-23 South for 4.7 miles, take
101 South (towards Los Angeles) for 2 miles, then CA-23 (Westlake BLVD and
then Decker Canyon Road) South for 10 miles, turn left into CA-1 South for 4
miles. Zuma County Beach is on the right of the road, and you can park your
car along the CA-1. The driving to return home is go CA-1 South for 20
miles, then 10 east for 12 miles.

Please let me know if you need carpool or can provide carpool seats for
other people. Cost for carpool will be shared among participants (about $4
for gas + share for parking fee). There is also a $7 admission fee per
person for Reagan Library. Please bring a light lunch and drinking water
