CESASC/CAST-LA 2003 Convention Technical Sessions

We're now living in a confusing, frustrating, challenging, fast-changing, and
promising world: surge and widespread of SARS, recession and sloppiness of
economy, hype and reality of high-tech, conflict and struggle of culture
shocks... To help cope with all of these, CAST-LA (Chinese Association for
Science and Technology California Chapter at Los Angeles) and CESASC
(Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of Southern California)
will be holding the 2003 Joint Annual Convention at the Pacific Palms
Conference Resort in City of Industry on June 21.
The convention will be an excellent forum for all Chinese American
professionals across Southern California to keep track of technology advances,
to expand career networking, to explore new opportunities, to reflect our life
style, or just to have fun and relax.

CESASC/CAST-LA 2003 Convention Banquet Program

Theme: Technology Advance and Human Life
The evening banquet features a keynote speech by Prof. Chih-Ming Ho, Associate
Vice Chancellor For Research of UCLA, and an excellent entertainment program
which includes performance, raffle ticket drawings, and ballroom dance.
Directed by the renowned stage performance director of Guangzhou TV Jack Yang,
the performance will be presented by 30 professional and top amateur performers
with the assistance of 25 trained staff volunteers. It will be one of largest
scale performances in the recent CESASC and CAST-LA convention history.
The international award winning soprano singer Shirley Ding will perform her
breath-taking solos. The professional dancer Hsiu-Ping Wang will bring her
remarkable work, the dance "Moonlit River In Spring", that was recently showed
on local television.
