A series of events organized by PKU alumni here in Southern California will take
place in May. The dates and locations of these events are:
5/4 San Diego, 5/4 Santa Clara, 5/18 Los Angeles, 5/19 San Diego.
We have announced the PUAASC 2002 Convention on May 18, 2002 in our last

Dear Alumni and Friends;
We are happy to hold an alumni reunion party to celebrate Beida's 104th
anniversary on Saturday, May 4th. This is the annual event normally with the
most attendance. All alumni and friends are welcome to join us and have fun!
Program:
meet long-time-no-see friends, make new friends,
enjoy sea hawk 500 set boats in the ocean,
Karaoke, Pool table, Frisbee, Sand
Volleyball, Football game table, and more...
Time:
1:30pm ~ 6:00pm, 05/04/2002, Saturday. We actually reserve the place until 9pm
for those who want to stay late. Dinner will be organized and be shared for
those who want to stay late.
Location:
Scripps Institute Of Oceanography house. You can download a printable UCSD
campus map at http://www.ucsd.edu/map/The reunion place is marked as 8606,
8610, 8612 in the map. We will put a Beida flag there.
Fee:
This event is free of charge.
Direction and Parking:
1. Go west along La Jolla village Drive, then La Jolla Village Drive becomes
Torry Pine Road. Turn left on La Jolla Shores Drive and go all the way down the
hill, then turn right at El Paseo Grande street. There are parking lot P002 and
P003, but UCSD with SIO permit is required. You can park on the street.
2. 34 bus can also take you there.
3. If you need a ride, please see the contact information below.
Drink, fruits, and light desserts will be served in the party.

Mission: The symposium strives to create and encourage connections between
academia and industry, and between researchers and entrepreneurs in the cross-
disciplines of life sciences. It also serves as a bridge between the
biopharmaceutical industries in the United States and China by promoting
business opportunities in both countries.
Speakers: Senior members from biotech and pharmaceutical industry, the
Bioentrepreneur community, as well as top legal and venture capitalist firms.
