Moon Festival Celebration at Caltech

We invited all the PKU alumni to join our Caltech 2009 Moon Festival Party, which will be hosted by the Caltech Chinese Association on Saturday, October 3, from 6 to 11 p.m. in Ramo Auditorium (Building 77 on attached map). The festival will feature a homemade Chinese dinner, performing-arts entertainment, and a dessert party.

The Moon Festival, which takes place on August 15 in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, is one of the most important and colorful festivals for Chinese people all over the world. It has been a tradition for Caltech C to host a grand party to celebrate this day. In fact, the Moon Festival Party has become so popular that it attracts many students each fall to reunite and celebrate this special occasion.

What makes the party especially unique this year is that it is going to be held on the same day as the Moon Festival. On top of that, October 1 is the 60th birthday of our motherland China. To embrace this great moment for the first time, we have invited performers from UCLA, UCSB, UCI, and USC. The performers come from various cultural backgrounds. Together, we will create a memorable night. Therefore, please try your best to attend this once in a lifetime experience.

Your attendance will be a great honor to us. We look forward to welcome you and share the Chinese culture with you. Thank you very much.
