An Evening with Mr. Xu Zhihong, President of Peking University

Greetings, Alumni and Friends,

Mark your calendar to meet Professor Xu Zhihong, immediate past President of Peking University (1999-2008), and other Peking University alumni in San Diego on July 1st, Wednesday at the Pacific Highland Ranch clubhouse (5950 Blazing Star Lane, San Diego, CA 92130). Professor Xu is attending a conference in the US and he will come to San Diego and meet Peking University alumni in person.

Years ago, we went to a magical campus called Yanyuan, where hundreds of thousands of gifted and hardworking college students have been groomed and mentored during the past 110 years. Now most of us have blossomed into creative, dynamic, and free-thinking adults, who take pride in our Beida connection. On the occasion of Professor Xu’s visit, it’s the perfect time for Peking University alumni in San Diego to get together and reflect on the years since our graduation day. A variety of activities have been planned for alumni of all ages to renew friendships, rekindle memories, and reconnect with our alma mater. A light dinner and beverage will be provided courtesy of the generous sponsorship of WuXi AppTec, COMBI-BLOCKS, and Fish & Richardson, thanks to alumni Ge Li (Chemistry 85), Hongyue Zhang (Chemistry 77), and Bing Ai (Physics 81).

This event is free of charge to Peking University alumni. Please register by clicking the registration link below. We will use the info collected to compose a directory of San Diego alumni for future alumni activities. Other interested parties, who are not Peking University alumni, are welcome to attend the gathering. Please register on-line as guests (please enter “NA” for Year & Department you entered Beida on the registration form).

If you would like to sponsor the event or have further questions, please send a message to tianfeng102@hotmail.com.
