Dear Alumni/Friends,

For the third straight year, PUAASC will host a beach party at Marina Del Rey to watch fireworks accompanied by a musical performance on July 4th. This is a traditional fireworks extravaganza over the main channel in Marina Del Rey programmed to patriotic music broadcast over FM radio KXLU, 88.9 and relayed over loudspeakers in Chase Park.

The 20-minute fireworks will be launched from a boat along the channel north of the Del Rey Lagoon Park. More information can be found from the web sites http://beaches.co.la.ca.us/BandH/Events/July.htm

We will play volleyball, roller blade, and Frisbee together at the beach before the sunset. The party will be from 3 pm until 9:20pm when the fireworks show ends. Please bring your own food, drink and blankets, Please bring extra cloth and warm coat as beach will be much colder at evening time.

where you can also find the driving direction to the beach. As this will be one of the biggest events in Southern California every year on Independence Day, it is highly recommended to come early so that it is easier to find parking space without the hassle of temporary street closures.
